Presentation and visualisation of data
The working package investigates how data presentation and literacy influence decision making. Both the sense-making of data and typical inferential fallacies depend heavily on how the complex data is represented and visualised. To grasp the data better, an analyst or a decision-maker needs to be able to explore the data. Computerised tools can be of great help in this interaction. Drawing from cognitive, social and computer sciences, this working package studies and develops new interactive tools that support the data literacy skills required for socially acceptable utilisation of data. It focuses on exploring advanced interactive visualisation techniques that not only explain but also cognitively support the use of machine learning models in decision-making.
